Left with surplus of creativity and her energy with no outlet, Dharna started searching ways and means to express herself and took on to the social media platform where she was active though initially, she considered it as a waste of time.   Her friend pursued her to start a fun challenge in which they send each other humorous mimicry videos. Her friends were very impressed and encouraged her to post them on them online.She posted her first video in May 2020 and several clips followed as she slowly built an audience on Instagram.  She soon became the social media, Queen.  It is believed that Komal Pandey and Deepika Padukone shared Dharna’s videos.One of the major turning points came into her life was when fashion influencer Komal Pandey shared Dharna’s video, ‘expectations vs reality’ about a dancing at a wedding, that video alone garnered 25 lakh views and significant increase in the visibility online.Deepika Padukone shared one of her videos on Instagram stories that went viral boosting her reach and helping her connect to a much larger and wider audience.After losing her father she stepped up to become the family breadwinner, managing the family business with her mother while using comedy as an emotional outlet. She had lost her father in a devastating Covid-19 during its second wave. Her entire family had contacted the virus, while all of them survived, she lost her father to the dreaded pandemic.She began with her stress-relief outlet on social media and skyrocketed to millions of followers which she expanded further after her gradual transitioning to Bollywood films for main stream film acting.
