Dear Exes is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language fantasy romantic comedy directed by debutant Kamini and headlined by the talented Nithya Menen. Produced by Bask Time Theatres in association with Popter Media, the film also stars Vinay Rai, Navdeep, Prateik Babbar, and Deepak Parambol in pivotal roles. Preetha Jayaraman is in charge of the cinematography and the movie promises a colourful aesthetic with whimsical touches. On Nithya Menen's birthday, Dear Exes was formally revealed, creating excitement with its eccentric first-look poster and being hailed as a distinctive fusion of magic realism and emotional drama.

The narrative centres on Nithya Menen's character, Aanya Raj, a vibrant woman navigating the emotional fallout from several failed relationships. She discovers an enigmatic smartphone app called "Dear Exes" one day. Which offers her a bizarre opportunity to get back in touch with her former partners, and change the way things ended. Each male lead plays one of Aanya’s former flames: Vinay Rai as her charming school sweetheart, Navdeep as the quiet intellectual, Prateik Babbar as a passionate corporate type and Deepak Parambol as a poetic dreamer.

Originally planned for a late 2024 release, Dear Exes has been postponed indefinitely due to script restructuring and scheduling conflicts. The mid-2025 release date of the trailer has been postponed, but once it's brought back to life. The film's distinctive idea, stellar cast make it a must-see. It presents a novel, female-led story that uses humour, emotion and a dash of fantasy to examine breakups.
