Directed by I. V. Sasi, “John Jaffer Janardhanan” is a drama film from Malayalam cinema. Features Mammootty, Ratheesh, Ravindran and Balan K. Nair. The film follows three brothers, each brought up in different religious households, who unexpectedly reunite after years apart. Together, they embark on a mission to seek justice against the people responsible for tearing their family apart.

Three brothers are separated as children after their father takes the blame for a crime committed by his boss, Robert. This leads to their family falling apart. The eldest brother, Janardhan, is raised by a kind Hindu police officer. The second brother, John, grows up under the care of a church priest, while the youngest, Jaffer, is brought up by a Muslim tailor. Each grows up in a different environment, unaware of their real family ties.

Years later, Janardhan is an honest cop. John and Jaffer both become kind-hearted young men. All three fall in love: Janardhan with Jenny, who is a small-time thief; John with Nancy at the Easter celebrations; and Jaffer with Sophia, the daughter of a local tailor. As fate brings the brothers closer together, they slowly uncover what they share in the past and learn about their father's sacrifice. They want justice, and together, they decide to turn up at Robert's place disguised. They succeed in their attempt. At last, the family is reunited, and not only do the brothers get to be together with their parents, they also get to be together with the women they love, providing the story with a rewarding and emotional conclusion.
