Made In India’ is an upcoming biopic movie on the inspiring life of “Dadasaheb Phalke”, the celebrated father of Indian Cinema. With director S.S. Rajamouli being presented. Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Nitin Kakkar, this film seems to be one cohesive journey through the life of a man who actually laid the foundation of filmmaking in India.
The movie will be released in several languages: Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. Thus being able to reach people from all parts of the country. Produced by S.S. Karthikeya, son of S.S. Rajamouli, in collaboration with Varun Gupta.
The film’s storyline remains undisclosed, but it is expected to explore the unknown and the real-life events from “Dadasaheb Phalke’s journey”, including his pioneering efforts in making India’s first feature film, Raja Harishchandra.
Dadasaheb Phalke directed 95 films and 27 short film movies over nearly two decades. He was, indeed, the true pioneer in this field. The film does not only present his professional life but also all the struggles, sacrifices, and passion that lead Indian cinema to grow as an art form and an industry.
While details of the cast are yet to be announced, the film has already started garnering significant buzz thanks to S.S. Rajamouli and its promising concept. Scheduled to be released at the end of 2025 globally, “Made In India” promises to be a celebration of Indian cinema‘s glorious past, but it would inspire generations yet to come with the remarkable life story of its father-founder.
