Amid India-Pakistan tensions, Tiwari had warned filmmakers about bans and urged them to follow Indian laws. Moreover, it sparked social media backlash against Diljit Dosanjh’s collaboration with the Pakistani artist Hania Aamir.

FWICE’S Formal Request To CBFC

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) formally requested the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to deny certification for ‘Sardaar Ji 3’ due to its Pakistani actors. Their letter cited Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B Ministry) directives and FWICE's own stance prohibiting Pakistani artists in Indian productions. They urged the CBFC to align with these directives and national interests.

BN Tiwari’s Statement

In a formal conversation with ANI, BN Tiwari said, ‘We had already written a letter to the censor. Board stating that this film should not be censored because. It’s not just Hania Aamir; there are 3-4 other artists as well, because of which this has become a big issue. But we have heard they are releasing the film elsewhere, outside of India. If they do this, we will ban them and their producer forever.’
