The Diplomat’s OTT Release Update

A number of streaming sites initially rejected the movie. Many of them perceived it as a gamble prior to its release, but the film’s unexpected success and the massive appreciation from the critics as well as the mass audiences, have turned the tables for the film.

Meanwhile, the OTT platform, Netflix, has acquired the digital streaming rights for the movie. They shared an update through their official Instagram handle wherein they uploaded the movie’s poster with a caption, ‘Mark your calendars. The Diplomat arrives on 9 May, on Netflix’.

John Abraham Shares A Key Insight

In a formal conversation with ANI, John Abraham described the film as a very ‘emotional and psychological thriller,’ citing that the film isn’t just any kind of a patriotic story.  Further, he added, ‘I didn’t do the film just because it’s patriotic. I did it because its an emotional as well as a psychological thriller. If you watch the film, it's a true story about the US Embassy in Iran and how they had to rescue the people. You’ll just be hooked on the edge of your seats. This was my experience from the film.’
