The upcoming film Abir Gulaal, which was in the news recently and had received criticism for having a Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, in the star cast. Actress Ridhi Dogra, who is also starring alongside Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor, felt that the film should be more about love than criticism. The teaser for the film was released a few days ago. The tagline of the film, which says, ‘Bringing Love Back’, it’s a focus on love and the beautiful things that surround it, amongst the hatred that is already there around in the world.

Ridhi Dogra Speaks Out on Fawad Khan Ban Controversy

Last year the Bombay High Court had rejected the petition seeking a total ban on the Pakistani Actor, s but the MNS, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena had taken it up strictly against the film’s release in the state and Indian film association had banned Pakistani artists from working in Indian films or in Bollywood after the Uri attack in 2016.

Addressing the controversy of the ban on Fawad Khan’s film. The 40-year-old actress Ridhi Dogra stated that everyone has an opinion and the Internet has become a portal of disagreement, instead, she would like to focus on the film, ‘Love and Hopes’, the tag line which will be shared with the audience.

Abir Gulaal scheduled for its release on 9th May 2025,  is a romantic comedy film directed by Aarti S. Bagdi and produced by Vivek B. Agrawal. The story is about two wounded souls who come together by circumstances and find solace in each other as they gradually connect and fall in love. Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor in the lead will light up the big screen while we will also see glimpses of London in the film.
